DESIGNATION: Indicazione Geografica Tipica Veneto

AREA: Salgareda – Piave Plain – Lower Treviso – Veneto

HARVEST: hand-picked

SOIL: alluvial basin of the Piave River south-east of Treviso. Rich in skeleton with a balanced ratio of clay and organic matter.

VINIFICATION: the grapes are destemmed. Light skin maceration for 4-5 days.
They are then gently pressed and the resulting must ferments at controlled temperature in stainless steel vessels.

AGEING: at the end of fermentation the wine is kept in concrete for a couple of months. It is then lightly filtered and returned to stainless steel vessels for the secondary fermentation using the Martinotti method. The bottled wine is usually stored in suitable premises for at least two months before being sold.

TASTING NOTES: light ruby red; Aroma: fresh, red flowers; Taste: Raboso is considered the native grape variety par excellence of the Piave area. The young bottled wine retains the characteristics of the original grape. The glass reveals high acidity and fruity notes of sour cherry and redcurrant.

ALCOHOL CONTENT: approx. 11.50% vol.

SERVING TEMPERATURE: 10°C/12°C

Contains sulfites.

PAIRINGS: excellent with cured meats, cheeses, snacks and dried fruit. Wonderful mixed with spring water for a light, refreshing drink.
